David Elliott

 

David Elliott was born about 1745 in Dutchess County, New York.

His wife was named Sarah.

Lucy Elliott (1779, married David Mattice).

He was in the Loyal Rangers under Colonel Robert Rogers at New York.

David was granted 600 acres in Elizabethtown Township, Leeds County, Ontario, Canada. 100 acres each in lots 6 and 20 of the 7th Concession and 200 acres in lot 1 of the 10th Concession.

Moses Elliott was with the 1st Regiment Leeds Militia during the War of 1812.

United Empire Loyalists were Americans who remained loyal to King George III and the British Empire. They moved to Canada after the American Revolution.
